Finally they came and stayed. It was late in the night or
early in the morning. There is a tornado watch north of here. Ah, how much have
we missed you, rains? The specks come down and across outside windows and atop
of industrial buildings, splashing highway signs and restaurants, curbs and the
tops of hats, umbrellas, all. The rain makes its way through streets forming
small rivers and goes down gratings after circling them as if in a quick type
of last minute contemplation. The animal, the birds, dogs, cats, deer, fox,
coyote, and all other, - are fast scurried and huddled up in dens, homes,
trees, et al. The rains. The rains. The rains. The storm clouds, seeping out
like over-ly fat and saturated cotton bulbs in the skies.
