THOUGHTS ON A MAGAZINE COVER

While waiting for something in a store, I saw a magazine cover that amazed me. It was the Easter edition of some kind of either craft or food or even home decor publication. On the cover was a fabulous photograph of numerous speckled eggs. I think the background was white. The eggs were of all colors, but muted and pastel,- and they had flecks of white, red, blue, orange, green. This dazzled me for what it was and for how it came out. Just right. Something that reminded the spirit or psyche of a cool and pure moment in time. A sort of foil, juxtaposition, or even counterpoint to the world when the landscape is gray for the streets and sky and the true warmth of the sun has not arrived yet.

So, I shall call this Pastel Speckled Egg and try to remember to note down thoughts, observations, nuances, dreams, reflections, muses, ideas, et cetera, - when and if it seems right and the itch to frame w/words needs to be scratched. Other than that,- I do not look at or read the magazines,- but sometimes quickly peak,- such as at the gardening ones where they can, w/pea gravel, the right clay pot and verdant or colorful plant, such as a Hyacinth or something bigger or similar, plus a few concrete pavers and bamboo sticks,- make a small area overlooked to be a sanctuary. Sometimes, even such a place as a front or back space,- or inside,- can border on or become a sacred space.
